Amy is a licensed acupuncturist and faculty member at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM), San Francisco.

An early fascination with Chinese medicine led Amy to Asia in her late teens, where she lived for two years, becoming fluent in Mandarin. She received her undergraduate degree in Asian Studies from UC Berkeley and her Master of Science from ACTCM.

At ACTCM she teaches classes on acupuncture, Chinese philosophy, the history of Chinese medicine and Chinese language. She specializes in general medicine and performing arts medicine.
